Youth Villages

Youth Villages is a nationally-recognized nonprofit organization that helps children, young people and families live successfully through a continuum of programs using our Evidentiary Family Restoration® approach. Programs include intensive in-home services for infants to 18-year-olds, transitional living services for former foster children, residential treatment campuses and intensive residential treatment centers. Other programs provided include specialized crisis services, foster care, adoption and mentoring. Our results have led to dramatic growth. This year we’re working with more than 22,000 children and families in 12 states. We’ve also been recognized by Harvard Business School, U.S. News & World Report, and the White House as one of the nation’s most promising results-oriented nonprofits. We have momentum, but we need your help. Begin your career with Youth Villages and join our Force for Families.

Closing the Deal Moving Your Fundraising Forward

Metrics for Mission Impact How Nonprofits Can Strengthen Outcomes through Quantitative Measures

whitePaper | March 25, 2020

In their seminal article, "Nonprofit Starvation Cycle", Ann Goggins Gregory and Dan Howard exhort nonprofit finance professionals to report to funders the real costs of running nonprofit organizations. The authors explain that the popular trend to restrict funding to specific programs without accounting for infrastructure expenses leads to an unintended consequence, a "nonprofit starvation cycle", where charities cease to function because they can't pay for overhead costs, such as administrative employees, computers and electric bills.
