Direct Mail for Nonprofits

The future is the Internet, they say. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, email… these are the tools that matter these days, they say. Stop being an old fogey and enter the 21st Century, they say. And, OK, yeah maybe that’s true in a lot of ways, but that doesn’t mean tried-and-true direct mail methods should be summarily tossed out the window. Many nonprofits still rely on direct mail for much of their operating budget, due to its undeniable efficacy. And as your organization builds its digital competencies, direct mail can also be thought of as an important piece of your multi-channel strategy.

Iowa Coalition Against Domestic Violence

The Iowa Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ICADV) is a state level nonprofit organization. Currently 28 direct service domestic violence programs across the state are members of the Coalition. ICADV staff members provide training, counseling, community outreach, program management and technical support for the coalition members, professionals and the community. ICADV administers seven programs, including but not limited to, State Certification of Domestic Violence Programs and Advocates, Legal Assistance to Victims, and a statewide rural AmeriCorps program.
