Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (WED) - is a yearly celebration that honors, supports, and inspires women entrepreneurs in over 144 countries. WED ignites women leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs to initiate startups, drive economic expansion, and advance communities worldwide. This momentous movement launched on November 19th, 2014 at the United Nations. On November 19th we ask women and men to dedicate the Wednesday following Thanksgiving with #WomenWOW, in support of women-owned businesses. #WomenWOW activates a global movement to pledge and support a woman-owned or led business in their community with Talent, Time or Treasure. Like Small Business Saturday or Cyber Monday, #WomenWOW builds on a growing international network of women entrepreneurs, their businesses, or causes. Women’s Entrepreneurship Day is an expanding movement that supports female entrepreneurs globally, and aspires to elevate the 250 million girls living in poverty.
