Behavioral Health Workforce Funding Opportunity

The Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA) has determined that West Virginia has 127 Mental Health Professional Shortage Area designation sites within West Virginia. The numbers affected, and severity of current addiction, related to the opioid epidemic in particular, have overwhelmed the current workforce. Consistent with West Virginia’s general population, the behavioral health workforce in West Virginia is growing older and many in the workforce are getting closer to retirement.
