United Way North Central Announces Nearly $1M Grants to Support Local Nonprofits

The United Way of North Central Massachusetts announced this week that it will award $555,357 in grants to support 40 local nonprofit programs through its Community Impact Fund. In addition, UWNCM has raised and is currently distributing more than $300,000 in grants to help families and individuals impacted by the COVID-19 crisis, bringing its total recent grant distributions to nearly $1 million. The UWNCM Community Impact Fund gives grants annually to programs that address the region’s most critical needs in the areas of health, education and financial stability. The recent round of grants will support a wide variety of programs that provide services including housing and shelter, food and nutrition, early literacy resources, and youth engagement.
