RWS Introduces The RWS Foundation for Promoting Global Understanding

One of the leading unique technology-enabled content, intellectual property services, and language providers, RWS recently announced the launch of The RWS Foundation. It is a charitable trust to contribute positively, unlocking global understanding.

To help people worldwide gain access to information and be heard, regardless of their native language, the RWS Foundation as Sapphire sponsor of CLEAR Global will be providing funding for a number of crucial humanitarian efforts and initiatives. The support will include localizing, translating and reviewing critical content, managing large-scale projects, and offering training to translators and members. Further, it helps analyze the data to maintain the highest translation standards.

Additionally, The RWS Foundation intends to actively encourage foreign language learning through collaborations with schools and universities, including the RWS Campus (a global university program) and the RWS Scholarship Program with the University of Manchester, UK. since 2019, the program has sponsored over 50 language students via RWS-Brode Scholarship program.

The RWS Foundation's Trustees will make decisions considering the charity's best interests and ensure that the assets are governed well and aligned with the foundation's goals. The RWS Foundation's beneficiaries cover Language, Content Transformation, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Quality Education. In addition, the RWS Foundation will enable RWS employees, customers, and other stakeholders to give back to the community by assisting nonprofits and humanitarian organizations worldwide.
