The Animal Defense League of Texas, Brighton Center, Haven for Hope, and the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Wounded Service Member Program will receive a $20,000 donation.
The Animal Defense League of Texas is a genuine no-kill shelter for abandoned, abused, or neglected dogs and cats, aiming to improve their quality of life by giving necessary medical treatment, such as spaying and neutering. PenFed donated $5,000 to The Animal Defense League's mission.
Brighton Center is San Antonio's most prominent non-profit organization that provides direct assistance to children with disabilities and developmental delays. The organization offers family and community education as well as developmental assistance to children with disabilities or delays, enabling them to reach their full potential and thrive in every community. PenFed donated $5,000 to assist the Brighton Center to serve more people.
The mission of Haven for Hope is to provide a haven of hope and new beginnings. They accomplish this by providing, coordinating, and delivering an effective care system for Bexar County's homeless people. Daily, about 1,700 men, women, and children are served on the Haven for Hope campus. In addition, PenFed donated $5,000 to the worthy cause of eliminating homelessness promoted by Haven for Hope.
The Wounded Service Member Program at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo gives wounded military/veterans and first responders a VIP experience at San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. This enables the organization to express its gratitude and commitment to these men and women who have given so much of themselves while helping others. PenFed donated $5,000 to assist support for veterans uniquely.
Since its inception in 2019, PenFed's San Antonio Service Center has proudly served members and supported local veterans and community organizations. In the San Antonio area, the service center currently employs 535 people.
