New women-focused nonprofit to open in long vacant warehouse in Fox Park

A vision to transform a city block in south St. Louis will also help transform women’s lives. Rung, a nonprofit aimed at empowering women to achieve independence, purchased the former Fox Brothers Manufacturing warehouse to create a first of its kind multi-service facility. The nonprofit was started by Ali Hogan, granddaughter of Enterprise Holdings founder Jack Taylor. It started off as a resale clothing store but has grown into much more. “She realized women needed more than just clothes to succeed,” explained Leslie Gill, the nonprofit’s executive director. They closed the Rock Hill resale store and focused on creating something much larger. The vision is a $20 million redevelopment which will house multiple nonprofits all aimed at helping women succeed.
