NeighborWorks America provides $70 million in flexible grants to 242 nonprofits

The Neighborhood Reinvestment Corp., dba NeighborWorks America, will award $70 million in flexible grants to 242 nonprofit organizations, all members of the NeighborWorks network. This fiscal-year (FY) 2019 grant funding (appropriated through Public Law 116-6, the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2019) will allow these organizations to further NeighborWorks America's mission to create opportunities for people to improve their lives and strengthen their communities.  “Once again, Congress has demonstrated it has a sharp eye for a good investment,” said NeighborWorks America President and CEO Marietta Rodriguez. “NeighborWorks America’s proven ability to leverage $60 for every $1 of Congressional appropriation is a testament to the remarkable performance of NeighborWorks America’s network of nearly 250 organizations located in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia.  We are proud to operationalize excellence through these grant awards to our powerful and innovative network.
