Make-A-Wish, a foundation to help children with critical illnesses fulfill life-changing wishes, joins forces with corporations, their consumers, and their employees to raise $7 million for its "Give Joy, Restore Hope" campaign during the holiday season. It is well known that granting the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses makes them feel much better emotionally by giving them a sense of normalcy.
Make-A-Wish is able to spread the word about local wish granting, employee engagement, consumer promotions, and corporate donations in many parts of the country thanks to the generosity of national corporate partners. Corporate partners include Adyen, American Freight Furniture Mattress Appliance, Black Bear Diner, Discover, Disney, Helzberg Diamonds, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Great Wolf Lodge, IT'SUGAR, Lokai, Macy's, MFRC Wish Box, Ralph Lauren, Snappy, Sugarwish, Subaru of America, Verizon Up, Vivid Seats, WisePies Pizza, and more.
Leslie Motter, the president and CEO of Make-A-Wish America, said, "A wish can give kids new strength to fight a serious illness, which can lead to better health outcomes and a sense of normalcy." She added, "As an organization that doesn't receive annual government funding, we are thankful to the supporters that helped us grant dozens of wishes daily during the holiday season so families can experience life beyond illness."

The funds, along with those donated by the public, will allow more wish kids to experience the positive impact of a wish on their health and well-being. Make-A-Wish has granted over 550,000 wishes globally since its founding in 1980, but there is still a great need for support, with three wishes waiting for every one granted.
