Kaiser Permanente donates $10,000 to Aloha Medical Mission

Kaiser Permanente Hawaii has donated $10,000 to Aloha Medical Mission in recognition of the outstanding volunteer efforts of Lisa Grininger, MD, a surgeon at Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center. Grininger is the sixth individual to be recognized for her volunteer service with the opportunity to donate $10,000 to a nonprofit of her choice, in celebration of Kaiser Permanente's 60th anniversary in Hawaii. "We encourage our physicians and providers to use their clinical expertise in ways that improve community health beyond the walls of our clinics and hospital," said Geoff Sewell, MD, FACP, president and executive medical director of Hawaii Permanente Medical Group. "Dr. Grininger's work has inspired others at Kaiser Permanente Hawaii to volunteer for these important medical missions, and we're extremely grateful for her leadership in this area." Grininger has chosen to direct her donation to Aloha Medical Mission, a Honolulu-based volunteer organization that provides free health care to underserved patients around the world.
