Jewish foundation to donate $4 million in COVID-19 funds for nonprofits

The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, located in Baltimore, announced that they are giving away $4 million in emergency grant funding to 55 nonprofits throughout the US and Israel to help combat COVID-19 coronavirus. According to a foundation statement, "The $4 million includes $2.57 million in emergency funding to 55 nonprofits operating within the foundation’s priority communities throughout the United States and Israel." In addition, there will be $1.5 million of funding to meet emergency needs "that will be identified in the coming weeks and months in response to the COVID-19 pandemic."
