Indian River Community Foundation awards $142,500 to 5 nonprofits

Indian River Community Foundation recently awarded grants totaling $142,500 to nonprofit charitable organizations serving Indian River County. “These scholarship dollars will go toward supporting working families here in Indian River County, our Habitat homeowners and their dependents, with achieving their post-secondary educational goals,” said Sheryl S. Vittitoe, president and CEO of Habitat for Humanity of IRC. “In addition, this very generous contribution will help Habitat homeowners who have school age children and need financial assistance for after-school educational programs or upcoming summer camps.
