Hudson's Bay Foundation hosted Evening for Change Presented by Cadillac Fairview, its first-ever fundraising event in support of Hudson’s Bay Charter for Change. The virtual event brought together vendors, charitable partners, artists, and influential Canadians to raise more than $1 million for Hudson’s Bay Charter for Change—the foundation’s social impact platform to accelerate racial equity for Indigenous Peoples, Black People and People of Colour across Canada. The evening kicked off with an incredible performance from the award-winning music duo Twin Flames and a cocktail-making lesson with renowned mixologist Trevor Burnett, followed by inspirational stories from Hudson’s Bay Foundation’s charitable partner, Indspire.
I am so proud of and inspired by the incredible work that Hudson’s Bay Foundation continues to do in its mission to create a more equitable Canada. This event was a huge success thanks to the generosity, support, and shared vision of our charitable partners, vendors and sponsors, who came together to make this evening possible. We will continue to build upon this critical work as we look ahead to the new year.”
Iain Nairn, President and CEO, The Bay
All funds raised during the event supported Hudson’s Bay Foundation’s seven charitable partners: Indspire, the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund, Black Youth Helpline, CEE Centre For Young Black Professionals, MLSE Foundation, MOSAIC and Nia Centre for the Arts.
A special thank you to Evening for Change Presenting Sponsor: Cadillac Fairview, and Food Box Sponsor: Breville.
