EG Group, which runs more than 1,700 convenience stores, said its annual fundraiser for Disabled American Veterans (DAV) raised $647,000. This was more than in previous years. Some of the contributing stores of the EG Group include Certified Oil, Cumberland Farms, Kwik Shop, Fastrac, Minit Mart, Loaf N' Jug, Quik Shop, Tom Thumb, Sprint Food Stores, and Turkey Hill.
The fundraiser took place in November, and guests who visited to any of EG Group's stores were invited to donate any amount they might. Coleman Yee, a Marine veteran and the DAV's third junior vice commander, was given a check on December 20 during a ceremony at the EG America headquarters.
Josh Bradstreet, vice president of operations services at EG America, said, "We are very proud of the tremendous efforts of our store team members, which resulted in raising a record amount of money for the DAV." He further added, "The funds raised will have a positive impact on the critical services that the DAV offers to vets every day."

Many former military members work for EG Group, and the money raised will help the DAV provide veterans with the important services they need every day. EG Group was especially proud to be able to contribute such a large amount of money to the DAV.
