Dulles Greenway collects $326,000 for Loudoun County nonprofits and scholarships

Dulles Greenway officials are continuing to donate some of their proceeds to local charities. The toll road charges $4.75 to $5.80 per trip, and on Thursday they collected all of the day's toll proceeds for seven Loudoun County charities and 16 scholarships for high school seniors. The charities include the Loudoun Abused Women's Shelter, Every Citizen Has Opportunities (ECHO), the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy, March of Dimes, the Loudoun Free Clinic, Fresh Air Full Care, and Loudoun Hunger Relief. The Greenway is also providing a scholarship for one senior at each Loudoun County high school. Public and Customer Relations Manager Terry Hoffman says the Greenway has been collecting money for local organizations and scholarships since 2005.
