Donated clothing benefits nonprofits

Anyone looking for a deal on clothing only had to go to the Knights of Columbus Hall in Presque Isle over the weekend. Kathy McCarty met with the woman behind the sale and learned how she's using such events to help nonprofits. This clothing, some with the tags still on, has all been donated. It was donated by Hillary Blanchard. And it all started with a chance visit to a New Hampshire thrift store called Mother and Child a couple years ago. "I got myself a little skirt, went to the checkout and I felt the Holy Spirit kinda tug at me to just ask what they do with the clothing that isn't sold. So I was a little embarrassed, but I asked and they said that the clothing - for the next three months the woman who usually picks up the clothing wouldn't be picking it up, so I - and that I could have it.
