CHANCES nonprofit organization receives 1st New Mexico Bank donation

One of Deming’s financial institutions has melded into the community through its charitable causes to improve the quality of life in Deming. 1st New Mexico Bank recently donated $2,000 toward the CHANCES collaboration to help assure that no child is exposed to substances. The generous donation can help the Collaboration to Help Assure No Child is Exposed to Substances (CHANCES) in Deming and Luna County. The organization is focused on educating the population on the dangers of substance abuse while pregnant and provides resources to expectant mothers who test positive for various dangerous elements such as alcohol or other drugs.
