Cambridge nonprofit Food For Free receives grant

Food For Free, a Cambridge-based nonprofit organization, received a $10,000 grant from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. The Blue Cross Blue Shield Healthy Living Community grant will support Food For Free’s Somerville Weekend Backpack Program, which provides elementary and middle-school students with kid-friendly foods each weekend. Food For Free provides members of the Greater Boston community with access to fresh and nutritious food.
