Burlington workshop aids nonprofit organizations

Nonprofit organizations gained insight into principles and practices to strengthen their organizations at a workshop held last week by the Alamance Chamber, N.C. Center for Nonprofits and Duke Energy. Pamela Palmer, principles and practices project consultant and assistant professor of nonprofit leadership and management at High Point University, led the workshop with a focus on group activities and discussions for the participants. “This is one of our newest programs at the North Carolina Center, and the idea for us was to go through all of the principles that we had prior that some of you may have been exposed to through our website,” Palmer said. “We added a couple of principles to this list so we have a total of 12 principles.” Palmer introduced the 12 principles with hands-on activities.
