Bayer Fund awards $3.9 Million in Grants to 80 Charities and Non-Profit Organizations throughout the United States
Bayer Fund, a magnanimous arm of life sciences organization Bayer, today granted $3.9 million in grants to 80 foundations and non-profit organizations all through the United States, $300,000 of which is devoted to supporting activities identified with COVID-19. Each award will go toward a program that adds to at least one of Bayer Fund's key center regions: wellbeing and health, food and sustenance, network improvement and STEM Education.
The St. Louis Area Foodbank, Urban League of Greater St. Louis and POISE Foundation of Pittsburgh were each granted an award for $100,000 to help uphold programs in their locale identified with COVID-19. During the Covid pandemic, numerous food banks, including the St. Louis Area Foodbank, have seen an uptick deprived in their nearby networks; this has put an expanded strain on their every day tasks and offices. The award gave by Bayer Fund will go towards overhauling their refrigeration framework, permitting them to keep on giving new, sound and nutritious food to families, youngsters and seniors in the district.
“This year, non-profits and other service providers have seen an increased need for support in their communities, whether it be through food donations, programming or other essential needs,” said Al Mitchell, President of Bayer Fund. “We’re proud to support these organizations by providing resources and tools to help address these needs and allow them to serve their local communities.”
