Kalamazoo Community Foundation awards $2.3 million in grants to nonprofits

The Kalamazoo Community Foundation has awarded $2.3 million in grants to 57 different nonprofits in Kalamazoo County. The programs all align with the foundation’s priorities of equity and education, according to a news release from the foundation. Three of the organizations El Concilio, Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes and Northside Association for Community Development received three-year grants. “We are inspired by the commitment to equity demonstrated by our grantee partners in service to the greater Kalamazoo community,” Martha Gonzalez-Cortes, vice president of community investment, said in a statement. “We appreciate the dedication of these nonprofits who are making life better in our community.
