The Wayside House started in 1954 in an effort to provide treatment and support for women experiencing these overwhelming and threatening conditions. As a result of our legacy and current operational practices, Wayside was selected as the Minnesota Council on Nonprofits and MAP for Nonprofits Award of Excellence recipient for 2016. We currently provide an array of treatment and support options that not only address the existing chemical dependency and mental health problems for the women we serve, but also interrupts the transmission of this risk to their children. Wayside is committed to securing the best outcomes possible for the women of our state, their children and their collective futures.
