Hispanic Scholarship Fund Awarded $30.7 Million From Lilly Endowment

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund in Gardena, California, has announced a $30.7 million commitment from the Lilly Endowment in support of its Hispanic Career Pathways Initiative. Slated to launch in September 2020, HCPI will provide a continuum of career support programs and services, including personalized career guidance and opportunities; Career Connection Days featuring hands-on opportunities for hard- and soft-skills training; HSF University, an online career preparation program; and an annual convening of education partners and employers focused on examining data gathered by the program, identifying gaps, and supporting and disseminating best practices. The gift includes $5 million to establish an endowment for the program.
