Executive compensation remains one of the most highly scrutinized activities in the nonprofit sector, yet is often described by only one data figure, the dollar amount on compensation, and not in context of the organizational budget or in comparison to other sectors.Media outlets and watchdog agencies love to compile lists: a Top 25, a Top 50, even a Top 100. Only the Minnesota Star Tribune list even brings up revenue and expenses and allows you to search by subsector for comparisons. Of note in the Minnesota example, 21 of the top 22 are in health care, where state law currently requires health maintenance organizations to be incorporated as nonprofits. Healthcare is generally followed by higher education institutions (lovingly referred to as “the meds and eds”) for top compensation, with large social service agencies and museums close behind.

Onelegacy's Donate Life Run/Walk Celebrates 20 Inspiring Years of Donating Life

OneLegacy's 2022 Donate Life Run/Walk will take place on June 4 at Azusa Pacific University's soccer grounds, marking 20 years of inspiring local communities to donate life. OneLegacy's largest fundraising event of the year will include a star-studded lineup, anchored by returning presenter Phillip Palmer, a living donor and ABC7's news anchor. The Donate Life Run/Walk, organized by OneLegacy, is the nation's largest event of its type, attracting over 12,000 people to Cal State Fullerton in 2019 to honor the power of organ, eye, and tissue donation and transplantation. As a result of pandemic safety measures in Southern California, this year's event followed two years of virtual run/walks that were streamed live on Facebook and YouTube. We are so excited to host an in-person event once again and to gather thousands of donor families, grateful recipients, living donors, and donation advocates at Azusa Pacific University. We look forward to sharing a special morning with our event participants as well as with our sponsors, exhibitors, elected officials, and community partners.” Tom Mone, chief external affairs officer and vice president of foundation operations for OneLegacy The program will begin with a poignant opening ceremony conducted by Phillip Palmer and featuring Univision 34 news presenter Gabriela Teissier and CBS news anchor Danya Bacchus. Bunny will also be there to round out the star-studded program honoring 20 years of inspiring local communities to donate their lives. Politicians from the City of Azusa and other nearby cities and counties will be there to show their support for organ, eye, and tissue donation.

Non-profit blockchain organization PraSaga to operate as a foundation
