The kit will recognize the advancements influential women make in the philanthropic sector, elevate influential female voices, and provide educational tools and resources to help further accelerate their giving.
Foundation Source client research indicates that female foundation leaders are increasing. From 2019 to 2022, foundations with female presidents and vice presidents increased by 32%, the number of women grantors rose by 26%, and the annual amount given by women grantors increased by 76%. The study projected that women would hold roughly 40% of private foundation president and vice president positions by the end of 2022, and nearly 20,000 female grantors will have contributed over $600 million.
The Women in Philanthropy Resource Kit provides keen insights from acclaimed female philanthropists to guide and inspire the next generation of industry leaders. In addition, it offers educational materials to empower women at every step of their philanthropic journey to take action. It includes resources such as Forward Thinking Podcast, Foundation Path to Impact articles, Tech for Good Series, 8 Tips to Maximize Year-End Giving article, and How to Evaluate a Nonprofit article.
Throughout Women's History Month, Foundation Source will add new resources to the kit, including a whitepaper with more profound insights from Foundation Source experts and female philanthropists.
