County nonprofits raise $91,000 in one day
Several Wilson County nonprofit organizations saw big payoffs this month with the annual The Big Payback fundraising event. The Big Payback, conducted by the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, is a 24-hour, online fundraising event created to help raise awareness and funds nonprofit organizations in Middle Tennessee. The event helped raise more than $12 million for local nonprofits in its first year. This year’s event raised more than $4 million for 859 organizations through more than 28,400 donations. Wilson County nonprofit organizations raised more than $91,000, with Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary leading the county with $30,627 in donations.
