Chan Zuckerberg Initiative Announces Community Fund Grant Recipients

The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative has announced a first round of grants awarded through its CZI Community Fund.Launched in October, the fund supports organizations working to address challenges in the Bay Area communities of Belle Haven, East Palo Alto, North Fair Oaks, and Redwood City, with a focus on education, homelessness, housing, immigration, transportation, and workforce development. In this initial funding round, grants ranging from $25,000 to $100,000 were awarded to forty-one organizations, including the Children's Health Council, which works to remove barriers to learning through consultations with and treatment for children with ADHD, learning differences, anxiety and depression, and autism; El Concilio of San Mateo County, a community organization committed to increasing educational and employment opportunities and ensuring access to quality-of-life services in underserved communities; and GRID Alternatives, which works to make renewable energy technology and job training accessible in underserved communities.
