It’s hard to believe that something as simple as fresh water facilitates peaceful resolutions to conflict, helps prevent water-borne disease (which kills thousands of children every day), helps promote literacy and education, is a foundation for economic development, and provides opportunities for families to live healthier, more productive lives.
