Community Huddle is a nonprofit organization that promotes: peace, education, and civic engagement. Min. Byron Marshall, Jr., founded Community Huddle on September 27, 2015. Community Huddle held its first board meeting at the Grant Accounting Services LLC office, located on MLK Drive on March 8, 2016, by founding board members: Min. Byron Marshall, Jr., Pauline Grant-Jones, CPA, and Ethel L. Parnell. On June 17, 2016, Community Huddle opened its office doors inside the historic Halyard Building, located on MLK Drive and Garfield. Our Mission: "To mobilize, empower, and transform communities." We Envision: "Communities that are: safe, thriving, and productive." We Work: "To advocate violence-prevention, reduce poverty, and increase voter participation."
