This is a guest post by Katie Remy, who recently completed Mama Hope’s Global Advocate Program. She successfully raised over $20,000 and partnered with community leaders to implement sustainable projects in Tanzania. She currently works for Glorious, a holistic community development organization that invests in the vision of strong leaders to build sustainable communities. I’m sitting at my desk with my hand on my mouse, hovering over the “send” button. It has been in this same position for the past 20 minutes, completely still as I reread my farewell email over and over again. For the past two months, I’ve been telling everyone in sight that I’m leaving, but there’s no way I’ve reached all 1,000 employees at the company. And as soon as I click send, everyone will know. Deep breath. My heart is beating out of my chest, hand sweaty. Finally, I click send.
