Have you ever heard of the "Ladder of Engagement"? It's definitely not a new strategy, but as the world increasingly relies on keeping audiences engaged and connected, it's an increasingly important tool for all nonprofits.
The nonprofit ladder of engagement is a powerful tool to hook your "casual follower" and move them toward being your most loyal donor and everything in between.
If you don't already have a strategic ladder of engagement for your nonprofit, now's a great time to develop one. And for organizations that have one in place, it's good practice to evaluate and make adjustments from time to time--and summer is an excellent time of year to do just that! This blog will help you develop or update your nonprofit's ladder of engagement.

The coronavirus has been disruptive, to say the least. Not to pile on more bad news, but add in the risk of a recession and a spike in unemployment, at this time even the most organized nonprofit fundraising professionals are grappling with how to move forward. We don’t know when self-quarantining will be over but we do know that with the lockdown extended to the end of April (for now), nonprofits are going to have to change up their fundraising plans. Long story short, any kind of in-person fundraising (galas, breakfasts, runs/races, etc) is going to get scrapped. But, you still need to meet your fundraising needs. To navigate these uneasy times, the only solution is to embrace a comprehensive digital fundraising strategy immediately.

As members of the nonprofit Salesforce community, we’ve become accustomed to regular releases of new functionality. We review Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) notes on bug fixes, patches and enhancements that appear like magic in our orgs every couple of weeks without batting an eyelash, but not all releases are created equally. The two planned for April 29 and May 27 are far more than just a few code tweaks; they’re hearty – meaty, requiring some time to really sink your teeth into them (and I’m not just saying this because I’m ready for breakfast).

The COVID-19 pandemic transformed life as usual, practically overnight. If you’re a development professional or nonprofit fundraiser, you’re probably inundated with content urging you to contact your donors ASAP. Since none of us has communicated with donors during a global pandemic, what are the new "best practices" that we should be following?
